Roncalli Catholic Schools recently received two check donations. The checks, proceeds from the 47th Annual TRCC Volleyball Tournament and concessions sales at the Denmark Cycle Park, will benefit Roncalli athletics.
Rusty Walesh, pictured far right, joined by David Anschutz, far left, presented Dave Mueller, Roncalli High School teacher, second from right, and Nathan Kaderabek, Roncalli Catholic Schools athletic director, second from left, with a check for $3,373 from the TRCC Volleyball Tournament. The tournament was sponsored by the Roncalli Athletic Association. Proceeds from the tournament offset the costs of youth sports programs at Roncalli Catholic Schools.
Roncalli Catholic Schools also received a check for $675 from Anschutz, pictured at right in the second photo, which was presented to Kaderabek. The money was raised by Anschutz and his wife, Kim, who work concessions at the Denmark Cycle Park. The park is owned by Anschutz’s youngest brother, Rick Anschutz, and his wife, Paula, who started the WIXC Motorcycle Race Series in 2009, which is run in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. In 2015, they purchased the Viking motorcycle race track, now the Denmark Cycle Park.
“We appreciate the TRCC Volleyball Tournament for continuing to support Roncalli Athletics,” said Kaderabek. “Proceeds from the concessions at the Denmark Cycle Park also will have a positive impact on Roncalli athletics. Community events such as these help to keep students engaged in sports activities.”
