Roncalli Catholic Schools is excited to announce November’s International Food Fair event fundraiser raised nearly $90,000. This is almost $10,000 more than last year’s event. Funds raised from the Nov. 5 event will support Roncalli Elementary School, Roncalli Middle School and Roncalli High School.
“We are beyond grateful to those who supported this year’s International Food Fair,” said Candice Giesen, director of development for Roncalli Catholic Schools. “It was tremendous to again welcome not only the Roncalli Catholic Schools community, but also the Lakeshore community, to the high school for this event. The turnout and reception to the event’s offerings were extremely positive. The generous time and talents of our local businesses and families help to make this event possible, along with the financial support of our sponsors and those who attended the event. We thank everyone for their contributions.”
This year saw new cuisine added to the International Food Fair. Adding to the ambiance of the event, the fun was extended outdoors with the addition of two food trucks. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy cuisine from booths and trucks featuring Americana, Mexican, German, Italian, French, Hawaiian, Chinese, Hmong and Southern fare prepared by local businesses and Roncalli Families, which also contributed to preparing decadent desserts.
The next International Food Fair is slated for Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.
